Duke & Stephanie
Duke is a 4 year old true BLM Mustang with the trademark freeze brand to prove it. Gathered by the BLM and brought to Texas last year, Duke has been adopted by Stephanie of Bartonville, Texas. Duke is progressing extremely well thanks to Stephanie's dedication to him. Duke and Stephanie are clients whom we travel to for training. Duke is now under saddle and working well for both Elliot and more importantly for Stephanie too! Stephanie and Duke are proof that a horse, even a Mustang, can be trained through our travel training program but it's all due to Stephanie's willingness to work with him consistently and daily. If it weren't for her, Duke would not have progressed this far in such a short period of time. Congratulations Stephanie and Duke on your hard work together! It will pay off in the long run! And more thanks for allowing us to work with your beautiful boy!

Rascal laying down
Rascal is a 3 year old Quarter Horse/Draft cross owned by Brian of Carrollton, Texas. Rascal was a pushy and disrespectful guy who knew his strength. Elliot laid Rascal down gently with the help of leg ropes as a guide. Rascal now trusts much more and has s great deal of respect for his handlers. Laying a horse down is more than just a "neat trick", it is another way of gaining respect and trust by gaining control of a horses' feet by inhibiting movement rather than creating movement. Laying a horse down is NOT a one time cure all to every issue. It just helps some horses to open up their minds to learning and trusting, it helps to bring about that "light bulb moment".

Caitie and Apache make the Quarter Horse News!
Caitie and Elliot of TFS Horsemanship have been attending the McCutcheons' Reining "Fun Nights" Aubrey Texas! Caitie and Apache were featured in the Quarter Horse News with Tom McCutcheon in March/April 2010!
At TFS Horsemanship, we believe that we are all students of the horse. That as horsemen and horsewomen we are constantly learning and the best way to learn is by observing the horse and spending time with other great horsemen and women in the business!
